Seed Sowing Workshop

Would you like to start growing vegetables, flowers and herbs but don’t know where to begin? Then this workshop is for you.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, this hands-on session is packed with valuable insights to help you grow a thriving, sustainable garden including different types of compost and nutrient content. This training day will equip you with the knowledge to start growing, so you can go on to experiment and build on your own knowledge.

Do you know many vegetables can grow in small spaces? This relaxing workshop will talk you through how to grow vegetables and herbs from seed and how to care for them. No prior knowledge or experience is required. Gardening is a great way to relax and find fulfillment, especially when you are growing your own delicious fresh food to enjoy.

We will explore

  • Everyone will sow a mixture of seeds to take home and nurture
  • We will talk you through the process of caring for your seedlings all the way from sowing to pricking out, potting on and then planting them out after the last frosts.
  • We’ll be learning in a small group or one to one.
  • We will talk about gardening sharing what your goals are.

Practical Information

All the materials are included: compost, seed trays, and a selection of seeds. We will be working either outside if dry, or the greenhouse. Please wear suitable clothing, & bring your own gloves if you prefer. Gloves will be provided.

Please bring a container or cardboard box as the seedlings you prepare in the class, you will be taking home to grow.

Tea/coffee, treats & snacks will be provided, please advise us of any allergy/dietary requirements so we can make sure that you are catered for.

A maximum of 4 per workshop, workshops last approximately up to 3 hours.
